Yuko's June projects.

Hello!Friends❤
There are  Blue Fern Studios  DT projects for June.

I made 3 works this month with DéjàVu line.

【LOVE】
<Paper>~Love story~ The Grand Ball Déjà Vu~Luminaries・Petites Cartes
<Chipboard> Ornate shelf・memory frame ・Chermed Page Dangles・Page Chains

It is former collection "love story" to have used as a mount,
but is just new discovery with " DéjàVu"collection!

I like combination of this purple x yellow.

A part in Chaemed and a part of a chain are a different chipboard.
It's connected and used.

This large chip board (Ornate shelf) was also easy to use surprising.
Although large chip board will get a little hesitant to buy
When it's used, there is an existence sense as expected, and it's nice!

【moment IN TIME】
<Paper>~Déjà Vu~  Atelier・Luminaries・Petites Cartes
<Chipboard>Jane's Screen Door・Rose Bouquet

I made use of a patterned paper  of very pretty pink  and made it with a pretty atmosphere.

This chipboard (rose bouquet) will be gorgeous and be the good accent.
After I didn't distinguish by using different colors small this time and applied the whole in white by JESSO.
White with lame was applied shimmerz and butter cream was given a ride at random.
It'll be the feeling that an expression may go out more than snow white.

 【sweet heart】
<Paper>~Déjà Vu~  Atelier・Luminaries・Petites Cartes・FriperiesTresors
<Chioboard>Iron Railing・Lovebirds set

This was made with a picture of the rose garden performed the other day.
Was really beautiful flowers is full !

A chipboard of this barrier (Iron Railing) was colored with shimmerz and liquid Pearl was put on a point.

The Déjà Vu line you do not get tired of some made even !
Really is a favorite! !
The purple that not only it is sweetbut also is slightly chic is good!

Girl time - by Zanka

Hey there!
Rummaging through my DT supplies from BFS, I found one more paper from Ombre dreams, which is a fanstastic collection to pick up at this time of the year, when the pictures are full of light. Well, at least usually they are-these days seem to be exceptionally cold and rainy in our region.
Nevertheles we managed to catch few rays of sunshine and sunglasses were very much needed :)
From the chipboard shelf I picked Turkish bits and fragments of Blue Fern frame. Both sets contain a lot of material, you can use pieces and they last forever. I've given them some treatment with embossing powder and paints.

 A close up:
Supplies: papers - Ombre dreams, Deja vu. Stamp - Love story 2 (Adore), Chipboards - Turkish bits, Blue Fern Frame.

For my second June project I picked totally different mood, an elegant vintage page created with a combo of Deja vu and Sanctuary. The border between the two papers is enhanced with a piece of damask chipboard.

As you can see, here I'm using not only the chipboards but also the loose bits from some sets. I primed them with gesso and coloured with watercolours, matching the colour scheme of the papers.
Supplies: papers: Sanctuary, Deja vu, stamps - Love story, chipboards - Turkish bits, Damask panel, Mini flourishes.
Thanks for stopping by!
DT Zanka.

Introductions! Sandi Clarkson mixes it up!

Hello, Blue Fern Studios fans! My name is Sandi Clarkson and I am new to the Blue Fern Design Team ... although very familiar with the product. Having worked with the Blue Fern Studios owner, staff and many of my fellow team members, I almost feel like I've come back home! It doesn't hurt that I live in the same state where Blue Fern is manufactured to strengthen that sense of belonging! (Texas, USA)

I'm married with three grown, married daughters and a growing number of grandkids! I still work 3 days a week and so I truly enjoy getting "lost" in creating! I like trying new techniques but am usually happiest when the results still fit my "pretty" criteria. My scrap room is my happy place. I kind of love that my desks have paint, gesso and runaway micro beads all over them. I'm mostly a layout girl but love, love, love doing the occasional canvas.

Now, on to my first three Blue Fern projects!

"Authentic Treasure"

I have the distinct pleasure of being one of the first DT members to receive the new Paisley & Vine paper collection! This collection was introduced here on the Blog on June 10th.  I wish my photos could truly capture how lovely this range is, with lots of great warm colors and fun patterns. Although it is a bit of a departure from the classic Blue Fern style, it is earthy and rich and will be a great addition.  My mind is racing with the possibilities!

I decided to go "shabby" with my photos and chipboard choices but chose some bold paper patterns,  Splendor  and Bohemian, and layered them against a lovely turquoise background, Pathway. I love this color combo!

I also fussy cut some title notes from the Playing Cards sheet and distress them a bit with my distress tool and some white paint. You can see bits of my chipboard pieces that are a little higher on the page.

My photos were framed with the Royal Heart Frame which was gesso-ed and inked, as was my Dashwood Bouquet piece. I embossed the tips of my Dashwood Bouquet for a bit of glimmer. Photo credits go to Raphael Tuck and Sons but are from a copyright free database.

The Royal Gate chipboard pieces was used to balance my layout and was treated similarly to the Royal Heart Frame. A few embellishments and it was done!

"Good Vibes"

Once in a while I really love to let loose and go a little Boho/Steampunk as I call it. I had not had a chance yet to use side B of the Love Story Amazing Hearts paper. The colors and collage appearance are so totally "me!" I've also been dying to get my hands on those BFS Goggles! The Steampunk photo from Tumblr just brought it all together.

Here are some close-ups:

After gesso-ing the goggles, I applied chalk ink and paints in different colors, adding a little metallic Patina from a tube. I've used Embossing powder on the inner rim and then painted the magnifiers black so that they would stand out. I've paired them with the Notebook edges which were treated with chalk inks and some random paint. Love Story Calling Cards made for a perfect photo mat. There is also some Journey stamping to the left with the Journey stamp.

Here you can see the Graduated Circles which I've used to frame the photo. They were treated the same as the Notebook edges. My Good Vibes title is from the Good Vibes word set. You can also see a bit of the Journey stamping here on the right which helps create depth.

The Cogs and Gears were treated the same. Love the Industrial look they bring.

Of course, I finished off with florals, metal and Flair.

"Delightful"

I don't know about you but I've been on a purple kick lately along with a vintage photo binge! And so, the colors of the Deja Vu collection really called out to me. Here I've paired the collection with some sweet vintage photos, chipboard and purple and cream florals.

The new Quatrefoil Frame made a fantastic photo mat here. It was simply gesso-ed with white.

The Flutter Medley is also a newish piece and made for a great border at the bottom of my photos. I've used chalk ink to give it a tiny bit of color. The Delightful title is from the Optimist Word Set and was painted white, then off-set to provide balance.

I'm in love with the new Peek-a-boos and used one at the top of my project. This photo also nicely demonstrates the use of the Halftone Stamp.

Lots of fun dimension and texture!

Paper:
Déjà Vu Un Voyage a Paris paper
Déjà Vu La Plume paper
Déjà Vu Tresors paper

Okay, that's it from me this month!

June Projects with Einat Kessler

Hey crafty friends, Einat Kessler here with two new layouts.

Recipe for Love

Sometimes you have a paper you really like and a photo you want to use with it but they don't always match in color. The way to resolve this is to add some color to your paper with acrylic paints or ink sprays. This is what I've done here.

Check out the video tutorial to see how I created this page.

BFS supplies used:
Paper: Sanctuary Collection
           Montage Collection
Chipboard: Recipe for Love
                   Floral Frame
                   Arrow Words

Adore

The second layout has some handmade embellishments I created from paper and two patterns of stencils. Stencils are a great way to add patterns, texture and images to the layout. I also used gesso on this layout to create the images and give accents to the embellishments, paper and title.

Paper: Sanctuary Collection
Chipboard: Adore

Have fun creating!

Bente's shabby June projects

Hi, it's almost the end of June but that is not something you would know from
the weather over here. In Sweden we love to celebrate Midsummer outside with our traditional
food and many like to  dance and sing around the 'May-pole'.
Well, I guess not much of that going on this year as yesterday was an utterly
blusery and rainy day unfortunately. So I stayed inside scrapping...
What better substitute, -for almost anything...?

Here's my first page:

I based my layout on the beautiful Montage collection and particularily one of my fave sheets
the blue and white side of 'Fairyland'. I did use a lot of media on top, but that is one of the
many great things about the Blue Fern Studios papers; they are very thick and awesome
quality so they are able to take a lot of experimenting!

I picked a pretty picture of my youngest looking for seashells on the seashore last Summer.
As this is a beach themed page I decided to frame my picture using the gorgeous Seaside Frame.
It's got a little seahorse, a star, an anchor, etc so it's just perfect!

At first I primed my page with gesso. When dry I added a layer of a blue paint. I mixed several shades to get it just the right colour. I added a layer of crackle glaze on top.
Before the crackle dried I sprinkled  some special fairy glitter and some tiny glass beads on top.
After all we were looking for treasure :-)

The cracks in the paint are really small but look very cute in real life.
Unfortunately they don't show up well in the photos.

My second page was made as an example for the June BFS sketch challenge .

For this one I used the delightful Deja Vu collection.
You'll find the sketch and everything you need to know about the challenge HERE.

The beautiful birdcage is part of a set of two. It's called Deja Vu Tweets chipboard and you
can find it HERE

There is a big contrast between the bright colours in the first page and this more subdued page.
-But I actually like to do a little of both. That way at least there's no risk I'll get bored :-)

As a title I used the word 'Adore' and you can find it HERE
The two other words of the set are Love and Cherish.

The butterfly is called Royal Monarchs and is part of a set of three different sizes.
You'll find them HERE.

The chipboard underneath the purple mini roses is called Layering Stems and is part of a set
of three different ones. You can see all of them HERE

And my third page and last one for today:

Picture is from last year when we took MIL out for a birthday dinner at the local yacht club (no we do not have a boat :-D).

I used Ombre Dreams for my page ,'Susans Dream'. I added a couple of layers in the middle. I used my trusty border punch this time. It's been too long....

I picked som Shabby Brick bits that I painted white and then sprinkled with yellow fine glitter.

The main chipboard piece here is the beautiful Beaded Flourish frame and you can take a closer look HERE.
I painted it, and when dry I stamped it with one of the 'Halftone' stamps. To further embellish it I added some gold stickles. I thought this would match well to the golden coloured mist I used on my background.

I hope you liked the pages that I prepared for you!
Thank you for visiting today! :-)
