April Projects by Catherine Giguère

Hello Blue Fern Studios Fans!  Here's my turn to share my April projects with you. This month, I  worked with the Spring Parade collection and with the Courtship Lane collection.

Bonheur

For my first layout, I used 'Marketplace' paper from the BFS Spring Parade collection. I did a textured background with stencil, modeling paste, BFS 'Tattered Newspaper' and 'Essential Textures Stamps', art stones and different inks (blue, violet and yellow).

I embossed my chipboards 'Folkart Frame' and 'Organic Vine Corner' with BFS Imagine Ink 'Antique Gold'.

I embossed my title (Bonheur) with  BFS Imagine Ink 'Amethyst'.

I cut the 'Organic Vine Corner' in half to put the pieces under my flowers. Then, I add a lot of BFS flowers.

Everyday Moments with our Blue Fern Fan of the Month

We are back today with our weekly project from our Blue Fern Fan of the Month, Edith Coultier.
She has done an amazing job so far this month, and you are sure to gain some inspiration
from this week's layout.  I will turn it over to Edith:

Today I decided to use the beautiful collection "Mémoires" to make my layout.
These papers are perfect to give a touch of romanticism to my creation.

I used a texture paste to do my background with watercolor point.
Also, I embossed my title with Melon embossing powder.

Beautiful flowers, glass beads, glitter, butterflies and magnificent flairs to finish this layout in beauty.

Papers:
Mémoires – Autumn Biography
Mémoires – Grand Sequel

Chipboard:
Everyday Moments
Rock Wall Bits

Flowers:
Spring Lilies
Courtship Roses
Chesterville Blooms

Wonders of Nature- with Paisley & Vine- By Keren Tamir

Hi Everyone its Keren here with two brand new layouts for Blue Fern Studios using the new Paisley and Vine Collection.
Both layouts have a nature theme to them and this collection was perfect for these photos.

"Wonder"

I used the "Passion" Paper for the background and added lots of natural texture behind the photo.

I framed the photo in the "Chipper Frame" which was covered with texture paste and then inked.
I also used the "Wonder" chipboard word as a title. It was painted in copper acrylic paint.

"Dare to Dream"

I used the Paisley and Vine "Whimsy" paper for the background and the "playing cards" paper to frame the photo and for the title.

I used the rock wall bits under the photo. I embossed them, inked them and then highlighted with white gesso.
I also used some vines from the "All natural set" and the "leafy bough". They were both inked in green chalk edgers.

Thank you for visiting the Blue Fern Studios blog today
have a wonderful day!!

Bente's July inspiration.

Hi, I hope all of you in the northern hemisphere are enjoying a lovely Summer,
and that the Winter is not too bad on the rest of you :-)

Today I have some layouts to share with you that are absolutely 'fresh from the press' so to speak.
I was in the UK last week celebrating my eldest daughters graduation from university and
when I got back I had to finish my projects rapidly!!
-But with such awesome products to play with it's not a problem:-)

My first page is based upon a pink paper from the Montage collection.
On top is a paper from the Deja Vu collection. As yo can see the collections mix very well.
-Especially when you add a litttle mixed media here and there. :-)
I 'framed' the whole page with the largest sized Graduated Squares, painted white then inked around.

The gorgeous piece of chipboardbelow the picture is one of the recent shapes and called
Rock Wall Bits. I painted it beige , stapmed on it and addedsome pink glitter. The part of the Grunge Frames chipboard piece above the photo was given the same treatment. I just love to add glitter to my pages at the moment :-)

The cute small dots scattered all over my page are the insides of then alpha stickers that I used.

I used the Montage collection for my second project. I love all the lovely yellow papers in that collection:-)

And here are some close ups of the details.

I used one of the Memory Frames as my title and hid it partially behind my photo.

The arrows are from the Directions set and simply painted black.

Making banner-pieces or mats behind the photos are such great ways to use up those left over pieces from your favourite patterned papers.

And finally here is my page for the current sketch challenge that you can find HERE.

The chipboards I used are:
Laughter, Happy, Smile and Floral Clock.

And a closer peek at some of the details:

That's all from me for today!!
Have a good week!
